At CONAQ since 2002, Jhonny has a career marked by his commitment to quilombolas rights and sustainable development. He has participated in a variety of national and international trainings and events, including topics such as the rights of habitation, land regularization, family agriculture, food security, environmental conservation and racial equality policies. He has participated in global conferences such as COP 27 in Egypt, COP 18 in Dubai and COP 16 in Colombia, as well as exchange in Colombia (2018/2021). He has held leadership positions as President Director of Associação de Pequenos Produtores de Furnas do Dionísio (2002-2004), General Coordinator of CONERQ-MS (2005-2009) and Executive Coordinator of CONAQ. He is also member of important spaces of participation and social control, such as CNPCT, CONACER, CONDRAF, CGen e o Fórum Interconselhos. Currently, is CEO and President Director of Associação Nacional de Quilombos para Cooperação – Negra Anastácia.
