As the leader of Hylea, he spearheaded the full integration of the Brazil nut value chain — from community-based harvesting to the creation of an in-house brand and direct commercialization in high-value international markets. He expanded market access across Europe, North America, and Asia, increasing income per exported ton and boosting the demand for organic Brazil nuts, positioning the Bolivian Amazon as a global superfood reference. He led the issuance of a €35 million Green Bond to support sustainable rural infrastructure and services and initiated the first certified timber plantations in Pando. Through the Federico Hecker Foundation, he championed a constitutional challenge to Article 32.5 of Law 300, paving the way for Bolivia’s entry into the international carbon credit market.
